Active South Dublin Club of the Year 2025

Lucan United Football Club is requesting permission from South Dublin County Council to submit a planning application for developments at Airlie Heights public parkland, including an artificial soccer pitch with associated infrastructure, additional car parking, a connecting footpath, and stormwater connections, as detailed in their attached plan and based on previous approvals, to support the sporting needs of the local community

In December of last year, the club we awarded a grant of €25,000 from the FAI and Health Ireland to improve their club’s walking track facilities.
The club firmly believes that implementing a more permanent walking track at our clubhouse will bring significant benefits to both our members and the local community.
It will promote physical activity for all ages. The walking track will provide a safe, accessible way for people of all fitness levels to stay active, not just football players. This will help transform the club into a true community hub for health and wellbeing.
