COACHES

Lucan United has a dedicated team of coaches, made up of volunteers who have all, at a minimum, completed the PDP1 coaching qualification. They are continuously monitored and supported by the club's Football Committee and Director of Football, Pat Cleary.  

The coaching staff at Lucan United ALSO boasts an impressive range of qualifications and experience. 

Derek Grehan holds a C Licence and has applied for his B Licence, alongside a Goalkeeping D Licence and a refereeing course. His ambition is to progress to the UEFA Elite Youth A level. 

Lisa Curran recently completed her B Licence and brings valuable playing experience, having represented Ireland and played professionally in Italy with Fiorentina and Hellas Verona. 

Gary Lester has attained both the B Licence and Goalkeeping Licence, complementing his extensive League of Ireland experience with Dundalk FC. 

Adriano holds a Level 1 FIGC Advanced Goalkeeping Award from the Italian FA, allowing him to coach advanced goalkeepers aged 10 to 18. Meanwhile, 

Ciarán Cleary is a B Licence holder and also coaches Drogheda United’s League of Ireland U17 team.
