Marketing, Sponsorship & Communications Subcommittee

 

Lucan United has Marketing, Sponsorship &  Communications Subcommittee, plays a vital role in promoting the club's  mission, generating revenue, engaging the community, and building a  strong and sustainable foundation for the football club.

Objectives

Outlined below are the objectives of The Marketing,  Sponsorship & Communications Subcommittee, delineating our  strategic aims and targets in promoting, securing sponsorships, and  fostering communication within our football club

  1. Promotion and Visibility: The subcommittee  works to enhance the club's visibility within the local community and  beyond. Through strategic marketing initiatives and effective  communication channels,  it promotes the club's activities, achievements, and values to attract  new players, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors.
  2. Revenue Generation: One  of the key objectives of the subcommittee is to secure sponsorship  deals and partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and  individuals. These sponsorships provide  essential financial support for the club's operations, including  facility maintenance, equipment purchases, and player development  programs.
  3. Community Engagement: By  organizing events, fundraisers, and outreach activities, the  subcommittee fosters meaningful connections with the local community. It  provides opportunities for players, parents,  volunteers, and supporters to come together, participate in club  activities, and contribute to the club's success.
  4. Brand Management: The  subcommittee is responsible for managing the club's brand identity and  reputation. It ensures consistency in messaging, branding, and visual  identity across all communication  channels to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
  5. Communication and Transparency: Effective  communication is essential for keeping players, parents, volunteers,  and supporters informed about club activities, events, and news. The  subcommittee utilizes  various communication channels, such as the club's website, social  media, email newsletters, and press releases, to disseminate information  and engage with stakeholders.
  6. Strategic Partnerships: By  establishing strategic partnerships with local businesses,  organizations, and community groups, the subcommittee creates mutually  beneficial opportunities for collaboration  and support. These partnerships can enhance the club's resources,  expand its reach, and strengthen its ties to the community.

Roles

The Subcommittee comprises dedicated individuals  from our club who fulfil key roles essential to our growth and success.  These roles have been carefully identified to ensure effective  promotion, sustainable revenue generation, and meaningful  engagement within our community. Each member brings unique skills and  perspectives to their respective positions, contributing to the  collective effort of elevating our club's visibility and impact.

  1. Coordinator/Chairperson: Katie Murphy Doyle
    • Oversees all marketing, sponsorship, and communication activities.
    • Acts as the primary liaison between the subcommittee and the club's leadership.

  1. Marketing & Communications Manager: John Markey
    • Develops and executes marketing strategies to increase the club's visibility.
    • Manages the club's social media accounts, website, and email communications.
    • Creates content and promotional materials to engage players, parents, and the local community.

  1. Sponsorship Liaison: Roy Shanahan
    • Identifies potential sponsors and partnership opportunities within the local community.
    • Develops sponsorship proposals and manages relationships with sponsors.
    • Secures financial support and in-kind donations to support club activities.

  1. Event Coordinator: Brenda Yourell
    • Plans and organizes club events, fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives.
    • Coordinates logistics, volunteer recruitment, and promotion for club events.
    • Works closely with the sponsorship liaison to incorporate sponsorship opportunities into events.
